US Oncology is the nation’s leading healthcare services network dedicated exclusively to cancer treatment and research. We provide physicians with extensive services and support. US Oncology is affiliated with more than 1,200 physicians practicing in approximately 485 locations, including 92 cancer centers and radiation facilities in 39 states.

Our support and services can easily be categorized into three key areas: Comprehensive Strategic Alliances, Oncology Pharmaceutical Services and Oncology Reimbursement Solutions.

Comprehensive Strategic Alliances

Oncology Pharmaceutical Services

We build comprehensive strategic alliances with physicians by providing them with unparalleled access to world class management services and support for their growing practices in communities throughout the United States. (US Oncology Network Map) These services include complete non-medical business functions for the practice or cancer center, such as billing and collections, patient data management, and accounting. As part of the alliance, we also provide cancer center and cancer research services.

Cancer Center Services. In cooperation with affiliated practices, we fund, develop and help manage comprehensive, cancer centers. These centers integrate all aspects of outpatient cancer care, from laboratory and radiology diagnostic capabilities, to chemotherapy and radiation therapy. The convenience of the centers enables patients to access the most advanced cancer technologies in their communities, surrounded by their supportive circle of friends and family, rather than enduring, often extensive, travel to distant locations.

Cancer Research Services. US Oncology facilitates clinical research and development trials for pharmaceutical and biotechnology firms. This industry-leading capability provides physicians and their affiliated practices with many opportunities to participate in the development of the newest cancer treatments and to offer advanced treatment options for their patients. The company is currently involved in more than 68 open research trials for breast, colorectal, lung, ovarian, pancreatic and prostate cancer therapies, and has contributed to the development of 24 of the last 30 cancer therapies approved by the FDA.

Through a comprehensive strategic alliance, our goal is not to direct nor control physician and practice activity, but rather to provide them with proven expertise and resources from a large cancer care network that helps them build and sustain a successful practice of providing exceptional care to their patients.

Our Oncology Pharmaceutical Services(OPS) provide community-based oncology practices with opportunities to improve their pharmacy operations through highly specialized services. These services are a subset of those provided in a comprehensive strategic alliance, but are available to OPS affiliated practices who wish to secure the advantages of our expertise to assist in their pharmacy operations.

As a large network of cancer-care providers, we have exceptional knowledge of the drug management process within community oncology settings, as well as proven experience in the development of techniques and processes that can lead to improved practice performance.

Our network practices receive tremendous benefit from our array of drug management services, decision support tools and extensive educational resources, as well as from the network's pharmaceutical negotiating power.
