2023 was a landmark year for The US Oncology Network, marking new heights in our mission to support premier care for patients in local communities across the nation. We’re proud to share more about what we’ve accomplished this year.
Expanding The Network’s impact
In 2023, The Network experienced record growth, adding six new practices and expanding into four new states. With this growth, our impact now extends to over 600 sites of care across 30 states. We are committed to supporting high-quality care close to home, and our expanding footprint greatly enhances The Network’s ability to achieve our purpose by providing practices with the resources to succeed and thrive, all while remaining independent. With more than 2,500 providers treating over 1.4 million patients annually, our belief that local cancer care is better care is being put into practice every day.
Increasing access to care to meet growing patient demand
Continued innovation remains paramount to the support we provide practices in The Network, and enhancing patient access to premier care is a top priority. With increasing demand for oncology services, we help practices maximize the use of available resources, drive more significant impact through advanced practice providers, and leverage telehealth to tackle evolving challenges. I’ve been inspired by the shared dedication to this effort. In fact, together, we’ve helped approximately 20% more patients secure visits at practices in The Network from the prior year. We’re looking forward to continuing to work with each practice so that we can ensure patients – no matter their location – receive high-quality cancer care.
Leading the conversation in oncology care
Thought leaders in The Network took center stage in important conversations throughout oncology this year and were featured in nearly 250 publications, including OncLive, American Journal of Managed Care, and Targeted Oncology, just to name a few. Our oncology experts touched on a variety of topics, ranging from increasing patient access, to the importance of physicians playing a role in advocacy efforts, to value-based care strategies.
And our teams curated a series of dynamic events across The Network. This included The Network’s signature event, Annual Conference, and other forums like the Radiation & Imaging Annual Conference, the Payer Transformation Summit, and more.
Looking forward
As you can see, there’s a lot to be excited about – both at The Network and in advancing cancer care.
As this offers just a glimpse into some of our unparalleled accomplishments, I’m excited for you to learn more about what’s new at The Network in the upcoming pages of this report.
I'm thrilled to continue to join forces with physicians and practices in The Network, propelling oncology forward and supporting exceptional care for all patients.
Sincerely,
Jason Hammonds
